Taxation and Legal Costs Seminar DAC Beachcroft

DAC Beachcroft is set to host their Taxation and Legal Costs Seminar on December 1st, in their Dublin headquarters, Fleming Court, Fleming Place, Dublin 4.

Daragh O’Sullivan, Managing Partner at Lowes Legal Costs Accountants will deliver a talk entitled ‘An overview of the current system of taxation and a review of recent developments’, covering a number of current issues in this sector including:

A review of the current system of taxation of costs and the mechanics of taxation.

Analysis of the differences between Party/Party costs and  Solicitor/ Client costs.

A review of the Court Rules relating to taxation of costs and the requirements for the contents of a bill of costs.

Analysis of the decision of Cregan J in Sheehan v Corr (2016).

Analysis of the methodology to be followed by a Taxing Master in assessing Bills of Costs in taxation.

This event will commence at 8:00am with light refreshments and the seminar commences at 8:30am sharp.
